Olivia Lynne: 23 Weeks

How Far Along? 23 weeks.

Size of Baby? A large mango! According to my baby center app, baby girl is 11 inches long and about 1 pound!
Gender? A sweet baby GIRL!!!!

Name? Little miss Olivia Lynne Anderson; although we also lovingly refer to her as Poppy or Livie.

Weight Gain? As of two weeks ago, I'd gained 10lbs.

Stretch Marks? Stretch mark free. Yay! Coconut oil for the win!

Belly button in or out? In, but continuing to get more shallow.

Wedding rings on or off? Happily on, although I fear my fingers may become more and more sausage like every week.

Maternity Clothes? Every day, all day.

Sleep? I've been sleeping better. Sure, I get up to go potty 80 times a night, but my sleep is definitely more restful.

Movement? Olivia moves ALL.THE.TIME. now. It's adorable and so special to be able to feel her. Occasionally, if we time it right, Carl can put his hand on my belly and feel her karate moves. She's really active early in the morning and right when I'm going to sleep at night.

Symptoms? Heartburn off and on. This week I've had a couple days where I've had nasty headaches, although I know I need to drink more water during the day.

Best Pregnancy Brain Moments? I put a cake in the oven the other evening and realized 20 minutes later when I checked on it that I'd never actually turned the oven on...

Mood Swings? I'm an emotional roller coaster. I find that my road rage is pretty bad (speaking of which, I honestly believe that once people are over the age of 70 they should have to take a driving test every 6 months to prove they're competent. I don't know how many old fogies I've seen on the wrong side of the yellow line, or run a stop sign in the past week but it must be in the 50s). So yeah, if I'm not swearing at old drivers, I'm crying watching Downton Abbey.

Cravings? Nothing really specific this week. I still love pasta and crave baked ziti or lasagna once a week.

Food Aversions? Tuna. Even the word makes me gag.

Labor Signs? Still a long way out. Phew.

What I Miss? Being able to go 10 minutes without having to pull my pants up. Also, bra's that fit correctly. #truelife.

Best Moments This Week? Being handed the envelope with the gender of a good friends baby written inside! It was such an honor to be the first (aside from the doctor) to know whether Tierney baby #3 was a boy or a girl, and to make a gender reveal cake for them to share with their family over the weekend. Also, I got to see my Sydney Ella for the first time since I left teaching at Mary Johnson. I miss seeing that little girl every day.

Looking Forward To? Turning my alarm off and sleeping in this weekend.

Olivia Lynne: 22 Weeks

How Far Along? 22 weeks.

Size of Baby? A spaghetti squash! Love bug is 11 inches long and almost 1 pound.
Gender? A sweet baby GIRL!!!!

Name? Little miss Olivia Lynne Anderson; although we also lovingly refer to her as Poppy or Livie.

Weight Gain? As of last week, I'd gained 10lbs.

Stretch Marks? Although my belly is starting to itch, I'm still stretch mark free. Yay! Coconut oil for the win!

Belly button in or out? In (but getting more and more shallow).

Wedding rings on or off? Happily on, although I have marshmallow fingers in the mornings.

Maternity Clothes? Hell yes. I pink puffy heart my Gap maternity leggings, dresses and corduroy maternity jeans.

Sleep? By time 7:30 pm rolls around I'm well and truly pooped and ready for bed. I struggle to keep my eyes open past 9:30. Thankfully I'm only getting up maybe twice a night to tinkle.

Movement? Livie loves to dance in my belly, and every week I can feel her more and more. She's definitely most active in the morning on my way to work, around 4-5 in the afternoon, and right when I'm laying down for bed. She loves to listen to her daddy's voice, and every time he lays his head on my belly to talk to her she wiggles and kicks all over the place. Carl holds my belly when she's moving most and we're so close to him being able to feel her too.

Symptoms? Heartburn was better up until last night when it was vile! I've noticed specific foods make me throw up (when I eat too much cinnamon or something spicy) and the heartburn that follows is like swallowing a bowl of hot coals doused in flaming tequila. No bueno.

Best Pregnancy Brain Moments? Nowadays there are now far too many to count. I think my biggest problem is that I just cant seem to find the right words. For example, I'm notorious for referring to the play grocery store in our classroom as the garage or gas station.

Mood Swings? Super emotional. I started crying when my favorite song Clocks by Coldplay came on the radio the other morning. I'm also sitting here watching The Biggest Loser with ginormous crocodile tears.

Cravings? Sweets (hello, candy corn!) cucumbers and lasagna.

Food Aversions? Tuna. So gross. However, I am becoming a pro at being able to sit in the same room (albeit on the opposite side) as someone eating it.

Labor Signs? Still a long way out. Phew.

What I Miss? Being able to comfortably jump up and down from sitting on the floor with the kiddos. I totally already feel like a sack of potatoes.

Best Moments This Week? Coming home to find goodies and packages on the front porch for Olivia. Grandma even spoiled her for the first time this week with this absolutely adorable polka dot dress.
Looking Forward To? Celebrating one of my oldest and dearest friends marriage on Saturday! Olivia and I have spent all week baking (and occasionally taste testing...)150 cupcakes (of 3 different flavors), as well as a 2 tiered cutting cake and additional 2 tier surprise cake. Tomorrow night is going to be nothing more than a frosting frenzy! I'm excited to ice and decorate all of Jen and Matt's cakes so that Saturday is a day entirely devoted to celebrating love sweet love!

#Happiest5k ...Take 2

Last year Sonya and I traveled to Brooklyn, NYC for a weekend to partake in our very first Color Run. And although our hotel ended up being in the ghetto (no, seriously. I needed a beer to muster the courage to walk down the street to the subway) it was still one of the most amazingly fun getaway's I've ever been on. So when we found out that The Color Run was coming to Vermont (FOR THE FIRST TIME! Holla!!) we hurried to pre-order our tickets months in advance.
This year, Sonya's best bud Lianne, and my hubby joined us on the colorful 3 mile journey, and although I was preggo and none of my running gear fit me, it couldn't have possibly been anymore hilarious and joyus. Together we rolled across the blue check-point, frolicked in hundreds of bubbles and ate 2lbs of colored cornstarch as we open mouth laughed at the Colorbration at the finish line. Once again The Color Run proved it's truly the happiest 5k on the planet.

After 25 minutes in the shower my toes, tata's and armpits are still stained turquoise, my boogers are blue and I'm pretty sure I've eaten a 20 years recommended limit of cornstarch in the space of 2 hours... but I'm overflowing with happiness, love and fantastic memories.

Let's do it all again next year!
