Baby Anderson: 15 Weeks

How Far Along? 15 weeks.

Size of Baby? An apple (about 4 inches, and now weighs 2 1/2 ounces).
Gender? We won't find out for a few more weeks but everyone (aside from Carl) is still convinced it's a girl.

Name? Little Poppy Seed has had their name picked out (boy or girl) for a couple years now. We still love those names as much as we did back then.

Weight Gain? As of two weeks ago I'd gained a total of 4 lbs. The honest truth is that I forgot to weigh myself last week...and then again this morning. I have my 16 week appointment next week so I'll update with the doctors findings then...at least I can rely on the nurse to weigh me because I clearly cannot rely on myself. Ha!

Stretch Marks? None. And no thank you. My coconut oil on the belly routine at night is still constant...although I'm finding that the smell of the coconut is starting to make me hungry. Specifically for a homemade pineapple upside down cake made with coconut oil. Mmmm.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Very happily on.

Maternity Clothes? I really feel like my belly has popped in the last week! Finally starting to look less like I've eaten a box of Munchkin's and more like I'm pregnant! Woohoo! I am still in my normal clothes, although I'm using my Baby Be Mine Maternity Belly Bands now for all pants/bottoms that zip or button. I still haven't purchased many maternity clothes, I must stop procrastinating.

Sleep? Sleeping much better at night. Still peeing more than I ever did before being pregnant, but it's become the norm. Beyond excited for my Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow to arrive as my hips are really bothering me in the mornings. I need the extra support!

Movement? Little love bug hasn't wiggled so that Momma can feel yet. I'm dying to feel movement though!

Symptoms? Occasionally feeling nauseous and throwing up, although it's considerably improved, yay! Today I had to hang on to a shelf in the grocery store as I talked with Carl about fish because I thought I was going to faint. I felt so light headed and dizzy. That was the first experience in my life I've felt that way (well...aside from when the room was spinning because of too many margaritas.  But that's a different story).

Best Pregnancy Brain Moments? They are now so frequent I find it hard to pinpoint them. Truth. My memory is practically nonexistent, and I'm constantly substituting the wrong words (like potato instead of pen). Lord help me at parent teacher night next week where I meet the parents of my new class. Haha!

Mood Swings? I'm so emotional! I got teary eyed watching Anna and Elsa in Frozen today at work, and the minute I open my pregnancy app and read about Poppy Seed I cry.

Cravings? Not really having specific cravings, although I'm really loving peaches and bread.

Food Aversions? Tuna, seafood and boiled eggs aren't my friend.

Labor Signs? Still a long way out. Phew.

Best Moment This Week? Waking up after dreaming of our baby for the first time (not counting that time two weeks ago I dreamed that I birthed a baby Sasquatch...thank you Discovery Channel). My alarm went off and I woke up smiling and with butterflies in my belly. In my dream Poppy Seed was a little girl (I'm finally convinced we have a Little Miss in there!) with black hair and sweet pink lips. I just held her and felt love like I've never felt in my entire life. It was magical. I can hardly wait to experience that love (girl or boy). I can't believe the halfway mark is creeping up!!

What I Miss? My nice girly underwear fitting correctly. I went for a walk the other night and it was embarrassing the number of times I had to pull my britches up. I think I might need to surrender to some Bridget Jones panties that fit over my belly. Thumbs down.

Looking Forward To? My bargain baby goodies that I ordered/shared about earlier today to arrive. Hurry up mail man!
