In addition, later this week I plan to devote an entire post to my first 5k (yay!) that I ran (along with my Mom and Sister!) last Sunday, but for now I want to share some photo's from last weeks galavanting. However, before the photo-overload, I want to take some time to give a big HUGE shout out to Holly's hubby Chris for doing a truly AMAZING job on my new blog design. Isn't it 100% gorgeous?! Yeah, I thought so too. Chris was so accommodating, easy to work with, flexible and creative. He did such a fantastic job of really listening to what I was looking for and truly went out of his way to meet my completely ridiculous OCD needs. I am over the moon with my new design and hope you're as tickled pink as I. So friends, if you're at all contemplating a blog re-vamp, I highly recommend shooting him an email. He's pretty much a rock star.
And now, for that previously mentioned photo-overload. Brace yourselves.
Last week started out with a bit of Charlie Brown's Christmas. It was just as glorious as I remembered and I totally sang along to all the words.
Which was obviously followed by the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Also amazeballs.
I dressed colorfully and admired my favorite Bridier Baubles.
I drooled over really hot Middlebury College Basketball players...
And hockey players.
And discovered the most delicious Goldfish flavor EVER! Buy them. They're so yummy.
I drove home in my first snow squall (also known as a mini blizzard) in 2 years. That was fun. (by the way, my sister took this photo from the passenger seat. Safety first!)
I then made friends with all of the gorgeous snowflakes that fell throughout Friday evening.
And ate the BEST and most GINORMOUS Snickerdoodle cookie in the entire universe for breakfast on Saturday morning. (Fellow Vermonters, if you haven't yet tried/eaten at the Ferrisburgh Bake Shop & Deli...you must go. Go now. You'll thank me later. I promise).
I went Christmas shopping with Sonya in the most awesome Christmas store in Vermont. It was magical and fa la la'd as I walked around the rows of glittered goodies.
Oh, and we also went shopping in Barnes and Noble. Heaven on Earth, people!
I made homemade marshmallow fondant...
and completed my first Caketastic Confections Vermont cake order for an adorable little girl named Lani!
Sonya and I made homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. They were also amazeballs.
But not quite as amazeballs as these Holiday Candy Cane Hershey's Kisses that I discovered yesterday. Honest to God, I could eat an entire bag a day! And if I pack a few pounds on over the Christmas season, I can wholeheartedly guarantee that it is as a direct result of these bad boys. You can bet your ass I'll be making some brownies and shoving a few of these kisses into them as soon as they come out of the oven so that their pepperminty-whitechocolatey-heavenliness oozes everywhere. Mmmmmm Mmm! It's the best time of the year.
As I said, it was holy-shit-batman crazy, but at the same time so unbelievably fun. I'm loving my job, Carl and I are finally starting to settle into Vermont life and I'm rolling in the Christmas cheer. Life is good and I'm a happy lady :)
Don't forget to stay tuned for the low-down on my Santa 5k.
In the meantime, here's a sneak peek...
Happy Tuesday, love bugs!
