Christmas Time is Here

Christmas time is here when the family gathers around the TV to watch Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.
and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
and Frosty the Snowman
and Elf
and How The Grinch Stole Christmas
or even The Grinch...
Christmas time is here when I can sing along to my Coca-Cola Holidays Are Coming ringtone on my phone.
And jam out to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra every morning on my way to work.
Christmas time is here when I can go to a local Gingerbread Exhibit to find 'inspiration'...

and then return back to school in order to bust out a gingerbread Lion King Pride Rock.
Christmas time is here when each weekend is packed with Christmas parties full of family and friends.
Christmas time is here when I can make calorific yummy desserts such as Paula Deen's Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. I doubled the recipe and brought it to a Christmas Party...among other things, that one (ginormous) ooey gooey butter cake had 4 sticks of (you guessed it...) butter, 2 blocks of cream cheese and 2lbs of confectioners sugar. Oh hell yes. It really was amazeballs to the 9th degree.
Christmas time is here when I can stock up on adorable wrapping paper (obviously stripes and polka dots. I mean, come on!) and sparkly curling ribbon.
Christmas time is here when I come home from work to a mailbox full of beautiful Christmas cards that have arrived from friends and loved ones near and far. (thanks, Twinnie!)
Christmas time is officially here, my friends. May you do as I do and bask in all of its beautiful, yummy, happy, exciting, magical glory. It truly is the best time of the year.

Happy Monday, love bugs xoxo
