Stop and Smell the Roses: Week 16

Happy Wednesday, Lovelies! :)

As it's hump day, I'm doing my weekly ritual of Stopping to Smell the Roses with Mandy and the other lovely ladies. If you haven't joined us yet, please do! :)
This week, it's important I highlight a few dorktastic things in my video, just so that you know I'm fully aware of them too. In all honesty they annoyed me to no extent, but I couldn't justify doing another take just to get rid of them. Ha!
#1) That obnoxious/distracting black thing on the side of my shirt isn't my bra strap, I've got another black tank top on under that shirt and clearly it wanted to make an on screen appearance. It drove me NUTS as I watched this back, so if it does the same for you, I'm sorry. It's demented and got a mind of it's own. Which brings me on to disclaimer #2) My hair, which is also demented and has a mind of it's own. Today I am clearly rocking my hop-out-of-bed-shake-your-head-around-and-go hair do. As a result, there is a vindictive curl in the back, looking something like a piggy tail boinging around, that makes it's appearance every time I turn my head. It follows me around and laughs. It's clearly attention seeking, and I've had a word. I've mentioned the word scissors and it knows it's place now. #3) How funny is this weeks thumbnail, please? I look like I'm making friends and having a heart felt discussion, or perhaps sing-along, with the Jolly Green Giant. Bahahaha. I love it.
Thanks for reading watching today, guys!
Enjoy the rest of your wonderful Wednesday!

P.S. I wanted to say a big THANK-YOU to those of you who shared with me your favorite children's books last week! I LOVED reading all of your childhood memories and I can't wait to add your special books to my collection :)

    1. Thanks lovely! You're definitely bias and blinded by twin love - how could you NOT notice those annoying things?! Haa! Maybe it's must me and my OCD. Should I see a psychologist? Haha

Thanks you - your encouraging texts have really helped me to stay positive and believe I could do it. You're the best and I'm one blessed chickado to have a Twinnie like you! ;)
Enjoy the rest of your Wed - I'm sure I'll text you later! :) xoxo

  2. So darling as always! I LOVE COLDPLAY!! I'm so happy you had a lovely time. And seriously, I'm SO BAD at math, too. While house hunting this weekend, I told Mark that I think real estate would be fun as a job when we retire someday. He quickly reminded me that I'm not so good with numbers. Womp womp :) I hope you have a lovely week, PETAL!! xoxo

    1. Yay Coldplay! I always knew you had excellent taste in music, Nina! ;) haha! Oh God, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is craptastic at math! it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only bonehead! haha! Don't worry - Carl constantly reminds me I'm poop at it and laughs at me in the grocery store trying to add things in my head. Ha!
Enjoy your week too, Petal! (yay!) ;) xoxo

    1. Oh Mandy, I love that you guys are admitting your crappy at math too - it makes me feel so much better to know I'm not the only one! Haha! I totally know what you mean about the calculator. Those 12 mental arithmetic questions (which I had to answer within 18 seconds) nearly killed me. For cereal!Thank the Lord for calculators! I'd still be standing in the shopping aisle counting my fingers without them! Ha! xoxo

  5. I hate math too. It is a stupid subject. In algebra I always wanted to to tell y to find its own x. I am not x's mother. Haha! Anyways, congrats on passing your math. It is always a great feeling when you pass something that you know you struggle with.

  6. I am so excited for you to become a teacher! We English teachers suffer with math, who knows why! If you need a digital study buddy, I am back in school too! I remember the test anxiety from that torture, I am so glad you passed and are done! Yay for back to America time! Then I won't feel bad for emailing you when you should be sleeping!
