Stop and Smell the Roses: Week 10

Happy Wednesday, lovelies!

Well, my fav blog-day of the week is here again! Yep, you guessed it. It's time to Stop and Smell the Roses with Mandy and the other lovely ladies! Booyah, baby!
If any of you have read my special engagement post that I published earlier today (The day he popped the question) you'll know that today is the 2 year anniversary of the day Carl proposed. And while I'm well of how now that we're married it's technically not such a big deal anymore - I mean we have our wedding anniversary to look forward to - but it's still a special day that I like to recognize. In addition, it's definitely something I'm SO super duper thankful for. Soooooo, I decided this weeks vlog would be a bit different...and I'm being totally honest when I say that I basically blackmailed Carl into taking part. Bahaha. You'll notice his lack of enthusiasm when you see his attempt to look as miserable as humanly possible. I was informed that "Vlogs aren't what guys do" and he leaned on the fact that he's normally a "shy" kinda guy... well, shy aside from when he's on stage in front of loads of people playing his guitar behind his head and with his teeth...but apparently that's cool cause Jimi Hendrix did that so he's aloud to be a flamboyant turd then.  Anyway, I was successful in my blackmail (puppy eyes) so he agreed to participate. Yay! I do, however, warn you that this was done all in 1 go (seriously, do you really think I could get him to do takes?! BAHA! You must be off your rocker!) so the laptop was trying to make a run for it halfway through and my webcam obviously couldn't handle filming two dorks, so it's a bit slow-motion-ish. In addition, I've realized in watching this back that I look like a rabid chipmunk when I smile. Ew. Nevertheless, it's funny (even with Carl's attempt to look as though he's dying) and something we can look back on and laugh when we're old and grey.

So without further adie, I give you mine and the hubby's vlog :)
(I really hope you've all ignored the fact that at the end I said 'see you next weekend'...totally meant Wednesday. What a twonk. Haha)
Regardless of the fact I caught the recipe on fire (I'm really not as much of a dipshit as I appear...) those Strawberry Shortcakes were super yummy, and if you're interested in the recipe you can click here!

Thanks all for me this week, folks! I'm feeling so so blessed and thankful for so many things -especially my English boy - and I hope you're all feeling the love as well :) Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! Friday will be upon us all soon! WHOOP!
Thanks for reading, guys!
Lots of love, love, love!

  2. Your hubby is SO funny in this video. He looks just bored to tears and yet he hangs on the whole time!!! And then he coughs while you are talking and you say, "Do you mind?" and I about lost it. I was laughing so hard!!! We really are twinkles...I mean...to the point of almost being scary. These vlogs are the best because I feel like we are hanging out together. Haha!

Well in case I didn't express my love for your engagement story enough yesterday, just wanted to say again how sweet and funny that post was. Seeing him in this video just made the story even better. You guys are too cute!!!!!!

Alright love, I must run. I think Blake just ate dog food. Chat with you later!!! xoxo

    1. You're so sweet for those comments on my engagement post. Awww I'd hug you if I could :) And I'm glad you laughed because I do too when I read it. Haha

HAHA! He WAS bored to tears and trying his hardest to make sure everyone knew that 'guys don't do vlogs!' What a turd!

What you said about how these vlogs feel like we're hanging out - I THINK THE SAME EXACT THING!!! Hahaaa! I love watching yours for that reason! Twin power, baby!!

Bahaha!! So is Blake a fan of dog food, or does he prefer a hot dog? Haha Love your comments - they're always crack-me-up-worthy.
      Lots of love Twinkle! xoxoxo

  3. You guys were cracking me up. I would love to do a video with my fiance, but he would rather stay behind the scenes of Random Crafty Georgia Girl. Hopefully in the next few months I can convince him to guest star! I also always remember the day he popped the question because it was my 24th birthday! That was almost six years ago. =)

    1. Haha glad we made you laugh! :) Don't worry, Carl would totally rather stay behind the scenes of Where There is Love, There is Life - but I used the puppy dog eyes to get him into the spotlight this week! Give it a go, maybe it'll work! ;) Awww, so cute that he did it on your birthday! What a lovely sentiment :) When is the big day?

Thanks for stopping by hunny xoxo
